Fossil Excursions
Guests will then embark on a fossil-hunting excursion led by experienced guides who will take you to the best-hunting sites along the ancient riverbed and share their knowledge on the fossils you may find.
The Garden
A one-acre botanical garden, the garden hosts over 200 species of plants, trees, and flowers. Visitors can take a stroll, admiring the vibrant colors and fragrances of the blooms.
Glamping
Glamping is a form of camping that combines the traditional outdoor camping experience without sacrificing all of the comforts. The garden boasts two luxury tents with room to accommodate eight guests.
Activities & Lectures
Lotus Cove will host a variety of lectures and presentations for children and students on a wide range of topics related to the Peace River. The program is designed to provide an engaging and educational experience to those who attend.
Catering
We support local restaurants by providing a location for them to cater and serve food to visitors and kayakers passing by. The restaurants can deliver breakfast, lunch, or dinner to our guests or set up a mobile catering station on the banks of the river.
Farmer’s mkt. & Plant Sales
During the weekdays and off seasons, Lotus Cove, will remain open to guests looking to shop at our Farmers market. Accessible via boat or vehicle, guests can drop by to pick up a plant, shirt, locally processed honey, or one of the many other items we sell on-site.
Organization & Management
Lotus Cove is a Florida-registered LLC. We are a small business that specializes in eco-tourism, owned and operated by Anthony McDonough.
Anthony is supported by a team of partners, contractors, volunteers, and outsourced local businesses who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company.
The key personnel at Lotus Cove include a hospitality coordinator, a paleontology coordinator, and a finance coordinator.
In addition to the management team and key personnel, Lotus Cove also employs several other staff members who are responsible for providing the services that the company offers. These staff members include catering staff, groundskeepers, botanists, paleontologists, geologists, accountants, and volunteers.
